ATA Airlines and Southwest has a codeshare agreement with them to certain cities WN doesn't fly to. The codeshare agreement between TZ and WN came about as the result of WN purchasing some TZ assets @ MDW (beat out FL in the bidding for the assets), and loaning TZ some money for a stake in the airline.

Quoting Redneckslim (Thread starter): Who is ATA, what does SWA sell flights on them? Are they a safe A/L? Sorry if this has been discussed before, I'm totally in the dark here.
I can understand your confusion. A few years ago I flew into LGA and saw several of their planes with this bizarre logo that didn't ring any bells. That was my first introduction to ATA.

I was surprised at that too Redneckslim, I head an advertisement the other day for southwest and at the end it said "Some flights may be booked with ATA" really fast. lol But ATA is a real good airline from what I hear.
