Did everyone forget their 50% ontime operations or highest cancellation percentage and horrible baggage performance of just a couple months ago? WN and Jet Blue get a lot of media attention but AS has been a darling for a while as well.

Quoting JetCity61 (Thread starter): They are an excellent airline in all departments. I like flying them down to Mexico; good prices, great service
Not to mention the fabulous prayer cards you get with every meal! Seriously, I've learned to tolerate the cards and can now appreciate the merits of AS... basically LCC prices with full service. I also think they have some excellent newer routes, including SEA and LAX nonstop to DCA! Of course, they were very lucky to be granted those DCA exceptions by the government, but they serve them well.

Yes the summer started off horribly, but there has been steady improvement since. September on-time performance was back up to nearly 80% and completion at 99%, which is the company's stated goal. The first four days of October are averaging 84% on-time. The mishandled bag claims have also come down considerably.
Regarding the Conde Nast survey, it was probably conducted prior to the May/June meltdown.
