I just read on CBS's NYC affiliate station's website that Delta is the 4th largest international carrier out of NY, I'm assuming that CO and AA are 1 and 2 (dont know what order) but what would number 3 be?
Delta is the fourth largest international carrier out of New York, carrying 1.8 million passengers in the 12 months through July.

I would guess CO, AA, and BA, in that order, although I could totally be wrong on BA. However, when you think about it, they have hourly flights to LHR from JFK on 747s and 777s from 6-11 PM as well as 777s from EWR - that's a lot of uplift.

12 Months ending July, 2005
1.) CO = 5,337,293
2.) AA = 4,137,765
3.) DL = 1,803,424
4.) BA = 1,611,525
5.) AC = 1,096,612
6.) VS = 949,961
Is it possible BA has moved passed DL since July?..

As STT757 showed, I think WCBS got this wrong. Delta is definitely the #3 international carrier, and #4 carrier overall, in the New York area.

I know it goes without saying, but I thought I'd point out the obvious anyway. AA is the number one carrier in New York, but when you include Newark, as most do, they easily become second to Continental.

Quoting Commavia (Reply 5): As STT757 showed, I think WCBS got this wrong.
That wasn't the only thing they got wrong...
"Delta has added over a dozen new international flights from JFK over the past year, to destinations like Athens, Santo Domingo and Chennai, India."
Athens over the past year??? More like the past 10 years...
