This is entirely rumour, ok...
On another forum, the DUB forum, someone has just posted that there are rumours circulating that Aer Lingus has/will oder/ed 10 Airbus A350 and will be announed before Christmas.
To be honest, I would have been surprised to see EI return to Boeing (don't flame me, just a personal 'hunch'... no more).
This rumour may well be true. Manion, EI's new CEO is putting many of his efforts into expanding EI eastwards, and said shortly after joining EI that he would announce new long-haul routes to the east and new long-haul aircraft.

The next few months are going to be a good one for Aer Lingus news. I would love to see the 777/787 idea but the A350 sounds good, so will this mean that the rumor about the Air Transat A330s might be true, Im not really convinced about it, but it only a old rumor. When will the new routes be announced was it this month?

I think the A350 (900 ????????) is the best Choice for EI.
In fact the T7 has the right number of seats for them and is the best choice today , but not tomorrow , as with the A350 they can have a more economical plane to exploit with the right number of seats too.Surely the 787 is too small for them.
Will EI be the first airline in the world to choose the A350 over the T7 , thus giving to the former its natural role ?
