Delta's Salt Lake City-Long Beach flights, which has been in timetables and bookable for a little less than a month, but never formally announced, have been pulled from res systems. It was to be three daily CRJs. No idea if this is a delay or a service cancelation, but it has been pulled from the schedules indefinitley.

Also, the Miami-Salt Lake City daily 737-800 service, which was to start 1 December 2005, will now start 18 December 2005.

Interesting. They just got the slots at LGB. In fact DL only has until, I think, about Dec 1 to post bonds, etc. They then have until about June 1 to use the slots or lose them.

Effective in December."

That is from CHQ lounge.

You know what just hit me...thats ski season...I still think they should keep it at FLL...espcially in ski season FLL-SLC is very profitable

It is ski season from MIA too, and MIA attracts much higher yielding travelers. MIA is the one with non-stop service to Vail/Eagle during ski season, not FLL.

And obviously, if FLL-SLC was a runaway hit, they would have added an MIA-SLC flight rather than taken the FLL frequency and simply moved it, with virtually the same schedule, to MIA.

because MIA is an AA hub

Obviously its a little better than anticipated if they pushed it back by 2 weeks.

Not really. MIA serves no purpose for feeding a Miami-Vail flight. The MIA-EGE flights rely almost entirely on O&D traffic, and the yield is amazing. Miami is one of Vail's largest O&D markets, as well as one of Aspen's largest O&D markets.

They pushed it back by two weeks due to aircraft allocation issues. The flight hasn't even been formally announced yet.
