I was just thinking if a B747-400 in the 16F/99C/234Y layout could replace the current A343 to JFK and the BBJ to EWR.
But I don´t know which routes the different interior versions of the LH A343 are used on.

This will not happen as 0 LH747-400's are based/stationed in MUC. I think LH closely thought about what aircrafts to use to EWR/MUC, and would never consider moving 747-400's over to MUC, when FRA is the airport with the biggest slot problems. Hope this helps.

Why would they want to cut down their destinations served? If MUC-EWR and MUC-JFK are both doing fine, why combine the two? Additionally, this offers more options to business traveler (which they are catering to with the Privatair all-biz flights). EWR is more convenient than JFK for many biz travelers as well.
