Wow, thanks Aaron, for posting that link. Summer '91 was close to the end...makes it all the more poignant.

What a beautiful video..
Quoting Alcregular (Reply 2): It's strange but that song just seems so fitting for the video. It was awsome.
Very elegant, classy song that really reminds me of pictures, videos, and stories of how commercial aviation was in its prime, when traveling was still exotic.
Thanks for sharing!

Ah yes the good ole days when people were allowed to film their aviation experiences without paranoid FA's other security officials proclaiming them terrorists.
Even though I wasn't into aviation as much back then, I do miss the Pan Am 747's.

Now that I have finished wiping the tears away, what is realy wrong with you people? C'mon now....Aviation today is great! Look at what we have now...
1) Flying RJ's for 3 hours instead of a CV-880/707 or DC-8
2) Flying transcon on a A319 instead of a DC-10/L10 or Jumbo
3) Flying a 73G/A320 instead of a 727
4) Flying a A319/BBJ across the Atlantic instead of Concorde/747

I didn't say anything was wrong with this but I was expressing how the old days are gone and recapping not saying anything about today being crap.

What more can we ask for?
GOD SAVE US!!!!!!
In another 20-30 years time though we'll probably be reflecting on the good old days of when the A320 family, 737s and RJs were buzzing around. We'll have something even blander still. Northwest will still have their DC9s for some variation

Quoting Pomnath (Reply 14): I think the best tribute to aviation from the old days is the aviation museum at the SFO Airport Departure terminal (International).
There is some excellent stuff from PANAM and TWA and before, including the flying boat days.
Man oh man do I want to go!
