Last summer I flew on Continental from IAH-SJC on a MD-80 that had the new seats with winged headrests, and a 737-700 from SFO-CLE with the same seats. Is continental putting these in all of their planes including the DC-10 and if they are how much progress have they made?

Continental is refitting the 737-300, 737-500, some MD80's, and 757's
with these seats, which are standard on the 737-700 and -800 as well
as the -900's, when they will begin deliveries in 2001.
The DC10's will not be retroffited. Continental expanded its DC10 fleet
in the mid-90's as an interim solution to its shortage of widebodies. As
777's and 767-200ER and 767-400's come on line, the remaining D10
aircraft will be retired.
