Which airports in the world get served by more A340s and A330s than any other? In terms of actual a/c numbers, and in terms of airlines?

This is not one of those trivia questions. It's just that I'm curious to see where you can see the most A330s and A340s.

Probably Hong Kong. CX fly both types as well as Dragonair flying A330s. A number of other Asian and European airlines also visit HKG with the type.

Other than HKG you would probably look at airports such as Frankfurt or Paris where resident airlines have a number of the types in their fleets as well as a number of visitors from other countries.

I think it is Hong Kong. CX has the biggest 330/340 fleet with 23 aircraft. Then you have Dragonair with a number of 330s.
Lufthansa has 25 A340s but they don't operate from a one airport.

Hisham.

I think HKG IS the answer, as CX operates 12 A330s and 14 A340s, many of them on shorter Asian routes, making them appear several times a day. Additionally, Dragonair with five A330s is also based in HKG.
You can't see as many in FRA and CDG as LH and AF fly their A340s on long-haul routes, making them rarer than CX's in HKG.

By the way, don't forget the other airlines flying into HKG with A330/340, like Korean Air, Thai, Garuda or Malaysia.

Zurich perhaps not yet but in an few years. Swissair operates at the moment 16 A 330 out of ZRH and in two years they will get at least 11 a 340-600. There are also other airlines which operate 330 and 340 to ZRH (e.g. Cathay, Emirate some times, )

I think that it will always be an asian airport. Mainly because of the 330 which is predestined for the asian hubs.

At the moment i would also quess that it's HKG.

Boston has quite a few A330/A340 operators:
Swissair
Sabena
Aer Lingus
Lufthansa during the summer

In North America, BOS might be the largest A330/A340 city.

DeltAirlines, as much as I'd love to see BOS have the most A330/340 operators, it just isn't so. JFK gets Aer Lingus, SABENA, Lufthansa, Austrian, Swissair, Gulf Air, Kuwait Airways, and Iberia. Toronto gets a lot of Air Canada A340's. Chicago gets Aer Lingus, Austrian, Swissair, SABENA, Iberia, and Kuwait Airways.

LH423 - Gulf Air stopped flying to JFK a number of years ago. However there is a rumour they are thinking about starting again.

Speaking of which, Bahrain and Dubai have quite a few A330/A340 ops - Bahrain for Gulf Air and Emirates A330s, Gulf Air A340s and also Monarch A330s stopping on the way to Male etc. Dubai obviously has loads of EK A330s plus those of SriLankan of which Emirates is a major shareholder.

I'm not sure if HKG is the airport with the most A330/A340, but I've heard Americans saying that they are dying to see an A330. In HKG, there are so many A330s that I get mad at them, I don't want to see any of those! (The same is for 777-300. You might want to see it badly, but I'm getting mad at it too, because it's appearing too often!!   )
