Any one here know when they are going to start up this route? Hopefully before next March.

Just trying to see if I can plan this trip during my stay in Uruguay.

I never thought this short flight would cost so much on RG. So I am hoping GOL would be cheaper.

Unfortunately they have no plans to start MVD so soon. Plans nowadays are VVI (this month), ROS, COR and probably ASU till December.
MVD-GIG (probably with stop at POA) could be run on the first half of 2006, but not is confirmed yet.

Nice trip to Rio !

Felipe

New York + Rio de Janeiro = One of the best combinations !

I heard that GOL will receive right to flight to Uruguay until Nov. Routes will be MVD-FLN (seasonal), MVD-POA-GRU, and PDP-POA-GRU (Seasonal). No plans for GIG.

Good luck in Uruguay, Will you visit Punta del Este?

Oh yes.... My crazy parents retired down there... They are living in Atlantida at the moment.... so going to spend most of the time around there.... I am going to go mad if I don't plan a short trip elsewhere. Last time I was there I went to Argentina, which was nice and inexpensive... this time around I was thinking of Brasil, but the prices on these shorts flights are crazy... any suggestions?

Try Florianópolis. Really great place and worth going. Great beaches, beautiful people and quite cheap. Not so far from Uruguay either.

You could find cheaper fares from EZE to GIG or FLN. I think it´s quite easy to get to Buenos Aires.

Try BRA to travel inside Brasil (www.voebra.com.br). Just as a piece of additional info, they were until recently a 100% charter airline and their entire fleet is made up of ex-RG aircraft, which is in itself a plus since they are all in very good shape.

They fly from Sao Paulo to more than a dozen cities and just to give you an idea, you can fly to Salvador, Bahia, for as low as R$ 99,00 ( approx US$ 42).

I live in Sao Paulo so should you decide to spend a few hours/days around here let me know!

Cheers

Domenico

Thanks all for the info. Still not sure on what to do. But I still have time to spare before I make up my mind. I just think its crazy to spend 450 for a 2 hour flight to visit Brazil for such short time.

Very generous... I'll see you in Boston so we'll talk about it then.

Thanks again!
