Heard through the grapevine that in addition to SJU-VQS -- which will be loaded this Sunday -- American Eagle is also going to be launching a new RJ route from ORD on December 15, 2005. It's in Michigan, and it's a city that has not had American service in quite a long time. It should be loaded on Sunday.

Interesting. It is pretty easy to narrow it down to Sagniaw, Flint, and Lansing, and only of those markets happens to have zero non-stop service to Chicago.

I sure hope you're right, MAH4546. I've always found it ridiculous that that part of the state doesn't have direct ORD service, when other airlines there are doing quite well (the demand is there).

Yea I would have to say it will more then likely be Flint. However Bay City is a good guess too. With MBS being soo far away from other airports and no one world presence at the airport, it fits.

Quoting SHUPirate1 (Reply 4): MBS is actually Saginaw, contrary to what the Star Alliance Timetable might tell you.

If you want to get all technical about it, the airport is actually in Freeland, MI. It serves Midland, Bay City and Saginaw, hence MBS.

Could they be restarting DLH service too soon?
'Cause you're on ATA again, and on ATA, you're on vacation!

I remember back in the 90s that UA used to fly ORD-MBS with 737s.

Darn! And I was going to mention Pellston, MI or Sault Ste Marie...good access to Mackinac Island and Mackinaw City during the summer.
