Non-Reving On BA's ORD-IAH Flight?

Has anyone ever non-reved on BA's 777 flight from ORD to IAH? I remember seeing a post that said that ID tickets could be purchased on tag flights without 5th freedom rights if the discount was above a certain level. I can get ID90's on BA, so I was wondering if it would be possible to take this flight and if anyone has had any experiences with it. Also, does BA typically upgrade non-revs in the US? Thanks!

Have just tried to list through the BA retired staff travel site for ORDIAH response is no staff travel available this route...think you will find that this applies to any nonrev travel on this route.

BA staff can travel on duty travel on this service, but that's about it.

Hmmm, never thought about that....would non-rev travel still be considered cabotage?
