After years of having an outdated route map, DL has finally updated it and I might add that it is quite nice. Very userfriendly, just like the entire website.

Here it is

DL should have used a different style for this map. Different colors too would not hurt.

Perhaps they should have mentioned that they have hubs too...Atlanta would be a good place to start, huh?  Wink

Yeah, it's definitely an improvement over the last one, but the circles are large and its hard to tell which cities belong to the circles. Also, it's not interactive like I would like for it to be. However w/ so many domestic and codeshare flights all over the world, a interactive route map would be hard to read.

The new DL map blows. For one, I do not like route maps that only show cities and not the routes themselves. Oh great, DL flies to GIG, but is that from JFK, or ATL? Unless you're a fanatical a.netter, you wouldn't know!

Also those big blue circles and dark blue symbols to designate code-share cities looks horrible. BA's new routemap and LA's online map are far superior.

I agree, however, AirTran has a nice interactive map as well as other airlines. DL could have done better with this area I think.

It needs a little geography and spelling work.

They have Bakersfield north of Fresno, it should be south.

SBP is spelled on the map San Louis Obispo, it should be San Luis Obispo, no O in Luis.

I sent them an e-mail about a month ago complaining about the old route map. Seems to have worked somewhat (I doubt they changed it just for me), so I'm going to send them another e-mail demanding an interactive route map. We'll see what happens.

Tucson is also spelled "Tuscon"......did a 4-year old make this map? It still sucks...I hate it when you have to select a"region" to see what cities are there and ditto on being able to see the actual routes from the cities....why can't they have something similar to the route map in their Sky magazine? Or even make it better to something interactive like they have on the HP website?

I agree, Where is 'New Castle' and 'South Hampton'. BA launched their new route map which shows flights originating at LHR or LGW for all the individual regions/continents. Delta could of done better!

Codeshare destinations are misleading and makes Delta look bigger than it really is.

They should only put the destinations that they fly to with Delta planes.

What a childish way to present the Delta Airlines network. This has to be one of the worst Route Maps I have ever seen. The silly light blue, dark blue, and arrows are nearly as bad as the Song website and its "dots". Yet another way that Delta Airlines is un-user friendly.

A map without routes should be called a Destination Map, not a Route Map.

I don't think too many airlines actually have route maps anymore. Most maps only show the cities that an airline flies to. I think that the only major airlines that still has all of their routes on the map is CO (whose maps aren't too bad) and B6 (whose route map is really beginning to look ridiculous with all of their new service - they need to fix it).

CO's:

Domestic:

International:

May I just say that delta's new 'destination map' looks just like AirFrance's route map too with all of AF's and KL's destinations printed similarily. Maybe AirFrance influenced Delta with their route map. I really like BA's new route map. Very tastefully executed.

Wow, even that new route map is pretty bad. Like mentioned above, you can't see the actual routes.

I'm not a big fan of pdf maps either.

IMO, AC has a really nice route map: http://www.aircanada.com/en/travelinfo/destinations/maps/map.html
