the 757 is coming from Ryan International Airlines reg N920RN i believe it is in Arizona now being refurbished and painted. the LGW route will be swapped to a daily 767 starting 30december 2005.
The aircraft is being reconfigured with 16C and 144Y in a 60" pitch up front and 34" pitch in back. The most legroom of any flight to Europe from Ghana. (with the exeption of 5W, however their seat picth will be reduced in the near future to allow preminum passengers seats.)
Also will give a lot of space up front with wider seats then AZ, BA, KL.
Dusseldorf is also planned 3 weekly 767.
they also will codeshare on LOS and ABJ on LH and ET flights.
Soon they will also codeshare with KLM on the daily AMS-ACC-AMS.
Also in the CRS they have 2 daily 767 flights to lagos. not sure if they are ''ghost flights''.
Next destinations, Suarabaya, beirut, paris, Accra

Quoting Soups (Reply 11): that route was suppose to be on ET planes but ET flights to accra will NOT stop in lagos anymore
Don't you think that if G0 was going to codeshare on ET flights between ACC and LOS they would actually have known that they won't fly the route anymore?

Yah you would think, but the fact that the flights were available on Amadeus even after ET was discontinuing that route is what's puzzling.

Was this aircraft leases or purchased by GIA. Local newspapers here in Ethiopia reported that the board of directors of ET approved the 10 million USD investment for getting 24 pc of GIA. I am a little puzzeled because if 24 pc is 10 million, GIA is worth a little over 40 million only????
I can't post a link of the airticle because the website for the paper hasn't been updated yet. But as soon as it is I will provide the link for news brief.

maybe the 10million is an initial investment?
From an old article:
Ghana government with a 25% share in the new airline and 40 percent to Ethiopian Airlines and GIA.
but again this doesn't make sense 105% funded?
Asked if Ethiopian Airways is interested in a 40 per cent share in Ghana Airways he says, “ I cannot comment on the exact number of shares Ethiopian Airlines is buying but generally I will say that it is one of the things on the table.” http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/NewsArchive/artikel.php?ID=80152
but yet again this source is few month old so it can all change

What about the 752 is it purchased or leased?
25 Soups: the 757-200 is owned by Ryan International (Ruboloff) it will be leased for just one year to start

27 ETStar: Where's the 752 going to fly to once the 763 comes on board? Where's the 763 coming from? I don't see other destinations for the 752 in scheds.
28 Soups: 767 not sure where it's coming from but i suspect from ET. the LGW will be operated by a 767 from 30 december 2005. Also DUS will receive a 3 767 serv
29 ETStar: Just can't wait to see the new livery of the aircraft, if it is to be painted that is - can't always trust them news people. Soups, can you dig in on
30 Soups: im driving 175 miles next weekend just to spot it at LGW... Sad me lol
31 Dkny: It will be painted according to the following link http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/NewsArchive/artikel.php?ID=92349 I really doubt the 767 will
32 Soups: GIA plans to aquire two 767-300ER aircraft and two MD 90s in January to boost their business operations, both on the international and regional routes
33 Runway23: You not booked on the inaugural flight?
34 Soups: Afraid not im booked on 20 december tho parents booked on 34 november
35 Runway23: You are aware we only have 30 days in November in the UK (and Ghana). I'm sure fares were cheap on the 34th of November.
36 Soups: OOPS its almost 2am here 24november and back 26november
37 AF022: Has GIA found these aircraft already? The market for 767s is comically tight, and they will probably cost a fortune. Are they planning to lease or bu
