Heard some rumours that QR may be planning to add DOH-NCL wih a 3 x weekly frequency sometime in the near future. Any truth in this?

Does LHR or LGW really need all those flights?  Yeah sure

Has the St. Lucian sun gone to your head Kirky?!  cheeky  Would have thought they would add somewhere like GLA or BHX before they even look at NCL.

Apparently QR bosses have been at NCL having talks so who knows? We now have AA starting JFK flights, so I think a 3 weekly flight to Doha would work, providing connections to the Far East/Africa/Australia

MAN goes 5 weekly from next year. I would expect MAN to go daily before the chiefs at QR even mention the word Newcastle.

I agree, also BHX and GLA would be considered before NCL, but who knows NCL might turn out to be a great option for QR!

Additional frequencies to LGW and LHR would also be considered before NCL!

In my dreams, yes!

Seriously though, I wasn't knocking an NCL option at all, just delaying it. If EK, GF and Ethiad between them become present at all other major UK regional airports, then QR might test NCL, just like AA are with their JFK offering. However I firmly believe QR will go daily at MAN before thinking about NCL.

Does QR have an official rumor spreader employed ? There are also rumors that they will start flights to DUS but I haven't heard anything official until now.

I would have thought EK would start from NCL, rather than QR, but any new airline and destination is a massive bonus for us.

Pretty much what Boysteve said  Smile

I would love to see QR at NCL, I'm not saying it won't happen, I'm just saying QR would maybe consider other services before NCL!

I would love to see QR at NCL as much as you! Big grin

I must agree with the rest of the "rebels" in saying that NCL is unlikely to be high on QR's priority list.

Also, you maybe know that QR, as of today, still does not fly to Australia though that should hopefully change with the arrival of new A346’s next year.

Just remember that the Scots will travel anywhere to save a penny so NCL would be a good idea for EDI/GLA pax Interesting that QR is not looking at EDI so maybe a lowcost option is NCL . BHX has a good variety of Antipodean options and MAN has oots

Why would flying Qatar from NCL save Scots any money? Got to disagree, hence the success of all the direct long haul flights from Scotland.

The QR rumour has done the rounds at EDI already, the rumour of EK starting services at EDI is much stronger than any QR rumour just now though.

Can also be said as, do you think that "xxx" will fly from "xxx" to "xxx" because i would like to see them at my airport.

Quoting Gkirk (Reply 2):

Well the loads are good from Gatwick and Heathrow....so no of course they don't need all the London flights, they should move them all to Swansea.... sarcastic

Thank you for reminder number 23,276 about the new JFK flights, i think the whole world knows now.  Wink

QR usually follow EK. Is this perhaps a hint that EK is about to start flying into NCL?
