I was stunned to see this and havent heard any announcements about it..., FNT's website doesnt even hint at this coming. Defintely exciting news for FNT since we recently lost our Chicago Midway service back in late March, when ATA Connection pulled out.
First flights inaugurate December 15th, 2005, and will be operated by American Eagle.
Flights are the following:

The electronic timetable isnt updated yet. The online "schedules" page lists the flights.
These must have been uploaded into their system today, because almost nothing is sold on any of the flights, and i've been checking tickets for LAX-FNT for a relative of mine for the last 3 days, and today was the first time I spotted "American Airlines" in the list.

When I was working for AA @ DTW, the talk was that AA/AE and FNT could not agree on "terms"- one of the reasons why AE left LAN (agents at LAN were given the option to upgrade to AA at DTW). What the terms were, I don't know (expenses? gate lease?).

I wonder what gate they will use in FNT. There aren't any jetbridges open that are capable of handling RJ's, unless they are getting another airline to do ground handling for them. How long before we see the original two daily flights increase to four or five? When C8 left they were operating something like 7 daily flights to MDW.
