I can tell you my opinion and experience with Malev. I have flown
with Malev several times on Tu154 and B737. They do not use
the Tupolevs anymore (at least not for pax). I was always
satisfied with their service, the plane was always clean and
seemed well maitained. My opinion about their service is that
they meet with the standards but nothing extraordinary.
I do not like their business strategy, however, I do not remember
any single case when they offered the best deal. There was
always a cheaper fare to be found.
So, if you decide to fly with them you will get decent service
(the food was especially good), but if you are concerned about
you pocket it is better to keep looking for other choices.

Malev is actually a very good airline. Clean planes, attentive service and very good food. Their fleet is young and they are trying their best to compete with their Western European competitors. Not a bad choice!

Hi

i have flown malev back in 1995.

FRA-BUD TU154 in Business class
BUD-DAM (Damascus) in Business 737-300

In fact the flights were O.K. Seatpitch in the TU154 was very daring!

The 737's are very O.K and service is O.K for such airline. Expect them to become ever better, their main traffic is within europe wehre they compete with the big guys. Their schedule is very much arranged to meet the buisness travellers.

all in all a good european airlines with huge potential to expand.

Rgds
Amir

I recommend you fly Malev. I fly them very often on the BUD-LHR route. I'd say they're way better than the other airlines on the route (food, aircraftcleanness, service).
All i can say is FLY THEM!!
