Just out of curiosity is there any route in the intercontinental United States that a 747 runs before making it over seas? For example, not a 747 example, but I took a quick flight from CLT-PHL on a US Airways 767 before it headed off to Ireland and I know that Delta flies a 777 from ATL-MCO before heading onto Paris. If the answer is no then when did 747 Domestic routes end and is there ever any possibility of 747 Domestic Routes in the future?

Quoting B742 (Reply 1): UA used to operate the 747-400 on SFO-DEN flights, but now I think only 777's operate this route:
LAX-DEN also gets it from time to time. It is all about schedule adjustments. LAX-IAD-LAX had a 744 all this summer that got downgauged all the way to a 752 for the winter.
Quoting B742 (Reply 1): Today ORD-DEN received 4x 777 flights!
Aren't those normally 2 class domestic birds?
