Which Airline Flies To The Most States With Jets

I was wondering. Which airline flies to the most states using some type of jet aircraft. No propellers attached.

I want to say either DL or NW, but im not sure.

Gotta be DL since they're anti-prop. Now if the question was "The most Midwestern states" then of course it was NW. They'll fly a DC-9 to a dirt strip as long as it's west of I-75 and east of the Rockies.

DL flies to 48 states and 2 US Territories with jets. Leaving out North Dakota and Delaware.
DL flies to 47 states and 2 US Territories with jets from ATL. With the South Dakota service going to CVG (from FSD) and SLC (from RAP).

It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

I dont think anyone can beat Delta in this. Northwest could tie. I know they dont fly any jets to Deleware or West Virginia (surprise, surprise). Im not sure if NW flies to every other state, but if they do they have a jet there.

Now thats not right. They fly A319's, and 20's too.

But if you're 400 miles east of I-75, you get your DC9 downgraded to a Saab 340, like here in ABE.

NW/Airlink flies to every state but Delaware, but they don't fly jets to every state. I believe the exception is WV, which XJ serves with the SAAB.

OR you never have anything more than saabs to begin with, and still, somehow, take service reductions.

Not to be critical, but why fuss about it? The guys in Airlink Planning aren't going to change a 340 to a CRJ just because you think it is a good idea. Why worry about things you cannot control?

If I remember correctly, United used to advertise "first to fly to all 50 states" on the cover of their system timetable many years ago (1980s). Of course, I know the question was asking about today, but back then, UA did all 50.
