A question for BA bods:
I have booked a holiday to the Turks and Caicos (PLS) in BA Club World in December.
The flight is on a 767 via Nassau. My travel agent is telling me that the aircraft still has the cradle club seat. Is this true, and what is the likelihood of a change in aircraft, going out on Dec 4th, and returning on Dec 18th?

All the BA LHR Longhaul 767-336's have been converted and now have the new flat beds in Club. The last one G-BNWN is at Gatwick being converted now with the MAN machine G-BNWH due to be done next I think.

The last LHR long-haul 767 G-BNWN should now be undergoing conversion, and once G-BNWH is complete by mid November all long-haul 767s will be in the new config. The remaining work through to next April will be conversion of short-haul to long-haul aircraft to cater for expansion.

ACEFreighter, thanks for confirming that. It is a great relief!
Crosswind, thanks for such detailed info.
I have never flown Club World before, only First. Is there a big difference?
Will this be the "new" Club World with the softer bed?
The alternative was to fly VS Upper to Miami and connect on from there. Whereas the UCS is probably more comfortable than CW, I figured that the catering will be better on BA (strikes permitting!). The catering and presentation on VS lets the product down very badly.
So I have decided to take the direct flight. Does anyone know how long the flight time is between NAS and PLS?

No burr walnut .... You'll notice the personal space is somewhat lacking in CW, although that depends if you use the centre or window seats in First. In CW upstairs on the 747 I love the fact you can put menu, headphones, music player and all that guff on the shelf which I miss at times.
I'm about 6ft and find the CW bed a tad narrow compared to First, but then I describe F as expansive. Get the right seat in CW and you'll be fine.

CW is okay upper deck - feels very secluded. Downstairs however does look a little crowded - I suppose this is what the 767 wil be like (are they going to squash 2-4-2 into a 767? Hardly fits in a 744! )
That said taking a stroll to the back really drives it home how much worse it could be. Any CW is very good - especially when you settle down in front of a movie with a nice meal (or lack of )
