15.12 CET. A beautiful October day made all the better by the sight of THREE JU-52s flying in formation (OK, rather a ragged formation, but still!) over Lake Zurich. I can still hear them receding towards the East as I type.

Hands up all you A.Netters who have seen 3 JU-52s in the air at the same time!

Cant say I have.

But I did have the pleasure of having a flight in D-AQUI, the Lufthansa Ju52, when it did a tour of the UK a few years ago. A great experience Big grin

Hi!

First time I saw an "alive" JU52 was in 1999 when I saw the Air Festival at Bern Belp, the JU52 was painted with the Milka colours, looked kinda of wierd but I still recall the plane flying and the noise of those engines! I really appreciate the fact that these 3 really old heavy machines still fly regulary in Swiss skies!
Regards

I used to live in Greifensee and Duebendorf both of which are under the approach to the Duebendorf airbase where the JU 52 are stationed, so I got to see them quite often.

I have to say that I really miss the sound of these great BMW engines, but the one in my personal (earth-bound) BMW isnt all that bad either  Smile
