AC will have a special 10th E175 and celebrating the manufacturer's 100th E170/175 series aircraft special livery this weekend. The special 100th anniversary livery which will be FIN380 will include a flurry of maple leafs, wondering how it will look like, but I'm sure it'll be nice!  Smile

....???? The 100th Embraer 170 was delivered to Shuttle America on 6-10-05. N863RW is s/n:170.00100

Here's the release from Embraer -- AC is indeed official 100th delivery.

There's also a little glimpse here: http://www.embraer.com/english/conte...press_releases_detalhe.asp?id=1101 , on what the commemorative paint job will look like. Too bad this is only a temp job for the ceremony though.

Where did you read that? It would be most unusual if true.

Yea, I guess so because s/n 170.00100 went to Shuttle America. But things like this have happened before. Embraer 145 number 500, the America West Express with the special paint was actually s/n:145.497.

100th anniversary? I guess you mean 100th a/c, right? Nobody's been around that long.

I saw my first one at ORD last Wednesday, definately a beautiful bird.

Sad to see that it'll be removed right away, it would have been nice to actually see it!

That's too bad! I have several photos - including Embraers, with 100th or 500th paint jobs. I notice that the article calls it a "100th anniversary" colour scheme. I don't think Embraer has been around quite that long  Smile

Great colours!

I wish they would incorporate the leaf design from the 100th Embraer design into the AC sceme, looks awesome!

Is the a/c white, or is it just me?

Are AC dropping the green mint colour from all of the fleet (including new builds), excluding the ones already painted?

That looks really classy way to go AC and Embraer! I like the white with the new tail combination. I haven't seen the new colors in person but I think they just look odd.

Speaking of AC livery.... Is the body now painted white? What happened to the toothpaste green?

Nope, it's just the effect of the powerful halogen lamps. We had that same problem when the new livery was unveiled at the Céline shindig on fin 652 last autumn. Under the projectors, the plane looked very much white. This plane is Iceberg green, like all other planes eventually.  Smile

Nice pic!

I really think it's too bad that those leaves are not staying for a while on that plane; really looks awesome and complements the rest of the scheme very nicely! PPVRA, is there a larger version of the picture available somewhere? Looking forward to the E190/AVOD splash in Nov/Dec!

I have to admit that I am not a big fan on the EMB jets, but the AC livery really does bring the best out of that airplane. I can't wait to see the EMB 195 starting service into YLW early next year!

That's a nice livery--implementing that on the rest of the fleet would certainly give the planes a little more character.
