First, a brief overview here. I'm a new resident of Anchorage Alaska - been here since this past July. So I'm buying a home here, and I need to fly back to my former home in Arizona to take care of personal effects. I've booked reservations with F9 out of ANC, to fly to Denver to make a connection, then on to Phoenix. My questions is regarding IFE & aircraft type. How is F9's IFE? Any fees with them? What aircraft could be used from ANC to DEN? Does the A318 have the legs for that route? I've been on A319s before with United, and I was quite comfortable with them. I've never been on an A318 before, and I'm hoping that I'll be on one soon with F9. Ironically I was an employee with F9 for a year at LAX, but F9 only flew 732s & 733s during my time with them, and this will be my first trip with F9 since I left the company.
All replies & answers appreciated. Regards.

The A318 has a similar range to the A320, so it could make ANC/DEN, but Frontier uses the A319 mostly.
Probably one of the hot rod A319's - you won't notice any difference, but ten of them have the engine upgrade.
It is difficult to know if you'll get the A318 DEN/PHX - Frontier has just revamped the booking engine, and now all it says is that you wil be on an Airbus Jet or an AIRBUS JET.
However, flight #850 and #859 are in the timetable as A318.
The IFE: usually doesn't operate over Canada - about half the journey - so sometimes they let you have it for free. Otherwise it is $5 and well worth it, I think. There are also first run movies for $8.
There is also Frontier's own channel "Wild Blue Yonder" which is free, and is quite good fun.
