JetBlue E-190 In SLC

Around 5:15PM SLC time, I just saw a JetBlue E-190 waiting for takeoff on Runway 17. Looked sharp, wondering if it's on route proving to SLC or just making stops around the system. Nice looking plane though.

We just got an email yesterday saying all training is complete and the aircraft has met all FAA requirements. Ready for Revenue service Nov. 8th!

They may have been on proving flights earlier, but today it was an open house for all the JetBlue employees (SLC based) to come out and see the a/c. They were giving rides for the employees, several flights thru out the day. It was parked on the G/A side over night, it looked very sharp pulling up to it in the dark and finally seeing the paint scheme.

On jetBlue.com in travel info, go to our fleet then E190 and they recently uploaded the E190 virtual tour. Very cool check it out now!

Any possibility of more SLC flights, especially now with Delta implementing Songs PTV service to some of its mainline flights? I make a yearly trip to a conference in SLC and I hate having to fly the redeye SLC-JFK.

Probably a daytime JFK-SLC on peak times since SLC is a great city for B6 and maybe other routes down the road. SLC is Neeleman's hometown (well he was born in Brazil but moved to SLC when he was a kid) and I have a feeling he won't let it just have 1X JFK and 1X LGB. More to come most likely.

Thanks for the photos and information. I do hope that B6's profit projection for the 4th Quarter is "pessimistic" and that the E190 helps drive their profit growth.
