I am looking for satellite photos of aircraft storage areas on Google Earth and I can't seem to find any. I looked in Victorville and Palmdale but couldn't find any. Where are the big storage areas and what are the closest towns?

I did find a Flying Wing bomber at the Palmdale airport. If you look on Google Earth at 34 38' 14.56" N and 118 04' 55.33" you will see it. Pretty cool.

Over Mojave, you recognise some Virgin Atlantic 747, some KLM 747s too. Very precise imaging there! There are some DC10 or MD11s too, and loads of MD80s, 737s and so. Quite a lot of AAs and US planes too.

Okay. Now I got Mojave. It's at 35 03 50N and 118 09 20W. That's a lot of airplanes - almost 200 I'd guess.

I'd say somewhere between 2004 and now for most of them.

It depends on the area. I looked at the airport I work at and it's about 3 years old.

Some are quite new. If you look at Banda Aceh....it ain't there... meaning it was taken after the Tsunami. Some are probably quite old.
