Hello all people who know something about these two airports.

I am planning a trip to South Korea next year to visit my g/f. I will be flying from PRG. I would like to fly all the way to CJJ (cheongju). However there are no flights from ICN or GMP directly and I would have to go via Jeju (CJU) to get to CJJ.

If I arrive on KE to ICN from PRG, and I have a next flight on KE from GMP to CJJ via CJU does KE have some shuttle between these two airports or not? If not, what are my cheap options to get to GMP and how long does it take?

I know there are flights from PVG or PEK to CJJ but they are extremely expansive.

Thanks for your help.

Ales

Yes. You can catch a bus from ICN to GMP and the other way around. They go quite regular. Beside a taxi it is the only way for the moment. I'm not sure if the future train line from ICN to Seoul Downtown will go via Gimpo or not.

Enjoy your trip to Korea!

Both KE and OZ have a weekly flight on sunday evening from ICN to CJU. It isn't a lot of hassle to get from ICN to GMP, but if you want to avoid changing airports you could fly into ICN on a sunday.

A shuttle bus takes you there in 30 minutes for KRW 6000 (about 5).

Why you're trying to fly all the way to cheongju? Cheongju is not far from Seoul, so there's no flight between these two cities. However, there is a bus from ICN airport to cheongju main bus terminal. In the homepage, www.airport.or.kr, it says it takes 3 hours from ICN to cheongju by bus, and you can check the schedule. It costs 18000 won(16 USD), the schedule from ICN is :
07:30,08:10,09:00,10:30,11:30,13:30,14:30,15:30,17:30,18:30,19:30,20:30,22:00
I'm not sure but this bus might be sort of business class version(Woo-deung bus). Only 27 seats instead of 45 seats, 3 seats in a row. (Again, not sure about it. but it's too expensive for a normal bus.)

From Seoul express bus terminal, there are pretty lots of buses to cheongju, almost every 5 mins from 6AM to 10PM. But ICN nonstop bus will be convenient to you.

Hi There,
thanks for your reply. I want to fly directly to Cheongju because it is home airport where my g/f lives. I don't really want to take a bus from ICN to Cheongju. I would rather fly via CJU to CJJ. I know that the flight on sunday to CJU does not connect with CJJ because it arrives to CJU late.

That's why i was asking about the bus from ICN to GMP because from GMP there are flights to CJJ via CJU all day long.

So is there an KE or OZ bus that transports its connecting passengers between these two airports.

Thanks
Ales

There's no airliner's free bus. Only public bus is usable. From ICN to GMP, it takes about 30 mins, 4500 won(4 USD), and there's a lot of bus, maybe every 10 mins which connect two airports. The airport homepage says it needs at least 160 mins to connect ICN's int'l flight to GMP's domestic one. It would be fun to fly GMP-CJU- and then CJJ right away. Enjoy your trip!

I appreciate your comments a lot. I have realized that it is too complicated to transfer from ICN to GMP and after take a flight to CJU and after to CJJ.

I have a question, from which bus stop number does to bus leaven at ICN towards GMP. I am not sure about the schedules. I would like to take the 4500 won bus.

And another questions is, even though I might contradict myself what I have written above, do you know any websites in english, where I can buy easily one way tickets from GMP to CJU and CJJ. I am talking about some korean websites.

Thanks again.
