Air Canada is currently operating one A345 (C-GKOL) and an A343 on the YYZ-HKG-YYZ route and is scheduled to do so until the second week in November. Anybody know where C-GKOM is? It has not been spotted by the ACARS network since it operated AC015 on October 26th.

On a related note, AC has an A345 scheduled on flight AC401 YUL-YYZ on November 13th.

Thanks,
Michel

Mdaigle, you provided all the answers in your thread. It is currently not operating YYZ-HKG, and will be back in YYZ from YUL in 2 weeks, so it's under maintenance at YUL!

on a side note: how can a 343 operate YYZ-HKG non-stop? With massive load restrictions?

When I doubt... go running!

Probably a fuel stop in YVR, or ANC. they used to do it. Though in theory on the way back with the wind at the tail they could maybe, just maybe do it.

C-GKOM (FIN 952) is currently in HKG for a C-check. It went in on Oct 28 and is to stay until Nov 5.
On Nov 6, C-GKOL (FIN 951) will be in for its C-check in HKG. It is to be there until Nov 14.

Why is AC having the Checks done in HKG on its 345's? Does it not have qualified people in its own technical section? or is it a cost measure?

I was in SIN on Oct. 31st and saw an AC 34X undergoing maintenance. I don't know if it was C-GKOM however.

Cheers,
Kaz

Your all wrong.

C-GKOM departed HKG on Nov 5th with the new tail scheme (Did you not read my post about it). C-GKOL arrived the same day and is now at HAECO for a C check and I assume to have the tail painted.

C-GKOM has been to Toronto and already back to Hong Kong today. So the answer to your question is its now on the way back to Toronto again.

Clear?
