Impounded? Are you sure?
They have one A330 leased to the Australian military to ferry troops between Australia and Afganistan. Are you sure that's not the aircraft you're talking about?

TAP dropped this route due to high costs, I'm not wishing bad luck to HiFly but let's see how it goes, after the stories we heard about them being a bad payer.
Sometime ago I heard in the news that they had problems at LGW because they they were late with the payment of the late fees. Also it seemed that they were owing money to TAP related with maintenance services........there's a lot of weird stories.
Airbazar I know you appreciate very much Air Luxor or HiFLy now, to compete with Tap. But I have to say they don't represent a significant competition to TAP as it seems they don't have a clear strategy. In europe they only fly to Paris, but sometime ago they were flying LGW, DUB..etc. 2 of their A320's came to TAP why? maintenace debts to TAP? or no structure to back up the europe operation?
Out of europe and domestic flights, they fly to Cabo Verde, Sao Tome and Guine, as well as to Recife, Porto Seguro Fortaleza and Salvador..... with 1 A330?????
