There is probably a grand total of 5-10 seats available per flight, if even that many. Most seats that would probably go out empty otherwise.

So I just booked ORD-MBJ round trip for 2. Dec 4 - Dec 8th for $18.00! After taxes $236.32. Not bad at all. That is cheaper than it would cost to non-rev! Great sale!

Are you serious that there are $218.32 in taxes?

I'm betting that the 3 was unintentional, and that the actual price was $26.32

We do low dollar fares at Allegiant (such as $59 from MSO to LAS). Only a certain number of seats are available for purchase at that low fare. Once it sells out, it goes to the next highest price ticket, which could possibly be a Y fare. We get people calling all the time POed that we "lie" and have false advertising when the ticket they want at $39 is now going for $79.

Well I just did a roundtrip booking and the total came out to $109.66. That's a lot of taxes...but still a great deal.

I remember a typo made on my old company website. it was a round trip from HNL to CDG Through LAX or SFO for 148 plus tax.
I had never seen that many hawaiins on the flight. We even had people buying it from LAX, but if they could not proove they arrived from HNL we will deny them Boarding.
It took 36 hours to notice the mistake, but that was enough time for a lot of pax.

Ryanair has already "sold" free tickets (taxes not included).

If I remember correctly it was from Montpellier to launch the route.

Good for Spirit! If it can work in Europe it can work on our side of the pond as well. Better to sell of a couple of seats for a couple of bucks then letting your competitor steal your customers.

These are fares to Jamaica. International taxes are very expensive

I started another thread on this topic at:

Spirit(NK) Service To NAS, Fare Sale! (by Gift4tbone Nov 3 2005 in Civil Aviation)

Becuase i didn't find this thread when i search for 'spirit' and 'nk'.  banghead

Well yes the deal is real, and most seats are already gone. I'm going to NAS on the 29th, returning on the 1st. Two people, $150. Not bad at all, considering most of it is fees. Cheaper than my flight to JFK for Thxgiving.

What do you think the future is with Spirit?

I heard their flights are not too full. Could the end be near???

I know that some airlines (like JetBlue and others) would love their gate facilities in FLL for growth....

Indeed.

What's more, there are virtually weekly 1p/2p sales, tax-exclusive. One-way fares, including taxes, can be from £5, particularly from STN to ORK and SNN.
