I´ve been wondering why the AA/BA code share is not approved by US and UK government. Since UAL can code share Lufthansa´s flights, why BA/AA can´t?

keep in mind that it is the USA and UK that in the issue, not germany, i have wondered that same thing and i would think AA/BA would work instead of UA/LH because the USA has been allies with the UK for a long time.
