Great news indeed, and if I may post some other additions as sent to us today by our PR department:
November 1: DL added an MCO ER4 nonstop; AA added a DFW nonstop (total of 4), as well as ORD and MIA nonstops.
November 8: AirTran adds an ATL nonstop (total of 2)
November 9: US adds nonstops to PHL, PIT, and DCA (3 flights total)
November 12: WN adds 2 nonstops each to DAL, BNA, MCO, and TPA
November 16: DL adds an additional CVG nonstop
December 1: DL adds a DCA nonstop, and 3 additional ATL nonstops
A total of 60 flights to 22 airports by December 15. And more to come, no doubt, with the heavy travel season and Mardi Gras upcoming.

Tristar,
Hope you are doing ok in Denver. This has been in the schdules for some time now in addition to BTR (which is also 2x daily). Obviously a fairly strong route such as MSY-STL would only go unserved for so long. Hopefully in the future they just revert back to their old schedule of 1 S80 and 1 ER4 and drop BTR all together.
BTW, how bad do you guys want to kill Tom Benson? I know I would.

Technically, it's not a non-stop to PIT. For some reason the routing of that bird is PIT-MSY-CLT-PIT. Don't ask me how they came up with that, but that's what people have said here on A.net as of a couple days ago. I got chastized for saying PIT-MSY would probably be dead, or downgraded to an E-170, and was corrected with that information. I'm not trying to be too picky there though Tom, just trying to save you from a few know-it-all's who'll be total pricks when they correct you in classic A.net fashion, so don't take me as being a here.
I hope everything is going well down there with you and your family as far as getting your lives and homes back in order!

You've got it backwards. It is a nonstop to PIT, just not from PIT.
I'm the expert on here on two things, neither of which I care about much anymore.

Baton Rouge will be seeing an influx of service for some period of time to come. New Orleans won't be rebuilt or repopulated over night. the Baton Rouge population jumped what...a hundred...two hundred thousand?
edit -- To add a statement on a thought that the likelihood of reinstatement of the M80 service from St. Louis to New Orleans is years away, if ever.

LambertMan,
I'm actually back in New Orleans, and boy does it feel great to be home. I just want to do my part to help my city get up and going again. Things are slowly returning to normal week after week. It's still crazy without question, but it is getting better.
As for Tom Benson...he's just a sick, old dinosaur. He needs help.
Hope all is well in STL! Great to have our cities connected by air again!

Quoting Brokenrecord (Reply 9): Who is AAConnection? Do you mean American Eagle?
No, they mean AmericanConnection. They are the Trans World Express carriers that AA picked up when they bought TWA's assets. American Eagle is owned by the same holding company (AMR Corp) as American Airlines

Is there that much travel to NO right now? Also there really will be a mardi gras this year?
Doors open, right hand side, next stop is Springfield.

There is a lot of demand from engineers, construction workers, residents returning back, etc. Most of the tourism won't be back probably until Mardi Gras at least.
Mardi Gras is going to happen this year, but not as many parades will roll. All the big ones will though, and the French Quarter will be hopping like usual.
