I know that this has been covered previously (apologies!) but does anyone have an update as to when exactly the A380 will be visiting LHR (compatibility tests etc) want to book accomodation in Hounslow the night before

Actually it probably won't be till next year now, possibly after Farnborough next summer. LHR is down on the list for route proving operations but mid December seems very unlikely with the current pace of flight testing. As soon as I can get a date I will post it, the visit will be something not to be missed!

I'm also waiting eagerly for any updated news on the A380 at LHR!
If at all possible, I will be there to welcome the A380 with my camera; it'll be my first ever sighting (and photos) of it!
Hopefully it's not on a school day at King's College London; I cannot see myself skipping class (after I came all the way from the USA to study here in London!).
I've always wanted to see the A380 in person ever since it debuted last year. I always wished to go to TLS (its home) to see it, but I'm quite busy as a student with little time to really get out much outside London. Besides, I am totally unfamiliar with TLS or any other European airport, or how to plan a trip there. Is there an area at TLS to see the A380 at?
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made... (Psalm 139:14)

I kind of hate to say this, but I don't expect the A380-800 test planes at LHR until at least one of the gates designed to be A388-compatible are finished.
Do you have any idea of when that will happen?
I think one is fully ready, of the three pupose built stands, two have the air bridges in place, I am sure stand 305 is fully ready, unless anyone knows better.
