Continental Connection carrier Gulfstream Airlines will begin three daily weekday flights between Tallahasse and West Palm Beach on 1 December 2005. Delta Connection currently flies the route, but will be pulling out 30 November 2005.

From West Palm Beach Continental Connection also flies non-stop to Freeport, Marsh Harbour, Nassau, and Tampa. Continental Connection will also begin 2x daily Piper service between West Palm Beach and Miami in early 2006.

I know many of the local politicos in Palm Beach county who don't understand airline economics were outraged that Delta dropped PBI-TLH. I pointed out to some of them that if they worked harder to attract carriers to PBI much like FLL has done for years and MIA has begun doing they wouldn't be in this situation. Good for them Gulfstream is starting service, but they have lost jet service for a prop.
