I just found out from the Yahoo LHR newsgroup that the Boeing 777-200LR is due into LHR this Thursday (Nov. 10).

This is a proving flight, 22hrs nonstop HKG-LHR via Pacific & Atlantic.

I don't know the exact time, but it's due sometime at LHR Thursday. Hopefully I, or someone else, will find out before then what time it's due in.

If I can, I'll be out there to catch it on film!

Oops!

I forgot to add the registration of the 777-200LR due at LHR this Thursday...

It's registered N6066Z.

Watched CNN interviewing Richard Quest onboard this flight, 35 pax n crew and he was quite tired. No wonder, this ULR takes 24-25 hours...

Also nice to note that this flight will be piloted, from HKG, by a female, namely Captain Suzanna Darcy-Hennemann.

It finally arrived! N6066Z landed on 27L at 1312 local time.

I was there to see it land--what a beauty! I had my camera with me, and I fired off 5 shots in rapid succession as it approached 27L.

Was anyone else from A.net there today?

Response to Pogo:

As soon as I get my photos of N6066Z developed, I will post them on this thread for you all to see, as well as to MyAviation.net. Keep an eye open! (I have just a few frames left to shoot on my roll).

Finally! Here are my photos from last week of the Boeing 777-200LR, N6066Z, at LHR. All photos are from Myaviation.net.

1) Nov. 10, 2005: N6066Z approaches LHR runway 27L on an overcast afternoon, so the plane seems to emerge like a ghost from a white sky.
