Flying on LH with a 15 month old and respective car seat. I know from flying domestic on narrowbodies that a car seat can only be placed on a window seat so as not to obstruct the passage in case of emergency. What about on a widebody aircraft such as a 747? Would I be allowed to place a car seat on seats E and F for example?

I'm assuming you can as long as there is an "exit route" for someone so they don't have to get past a car seat. We just took our 9 month old to Fiji, and we had to place it by the window, but that was on a 737. The little guy "stole" the window seat from his Dad.
