What is the O&D demand - so not demand because of connection possibilities - of flights from VIE to:
CAI (OS = 7/week; MS = 5/week, 1 via LXR)
TLV (OS = 8/week; LY = 3/week)
AMM (OS = 4/week; RJ = 4/week)
TIP (OS = 4/week)
BEY (No flights)
DAM (0S = 5/week; RB = 2/week via ALP)
ALP (RB = 2/week)
THR (OS = 3/week; IR = 1/week)
IST (OS = 11/week; TK = 13/week)
ANK (OS = 5/week; TK = 1/week)
GYD (OS = 5/week)
EVN (OS = 4/week)
TBS (OS = 2/week; A9 = 2/week)
LED (OS = 5/week)
MOW (OS = 14/week; SU = 14/week)
RIX (OS = 7/week; BT = 3/week)
VNO (OS = 7/week; BT = 1/week)
TLL (No flights)
What about the demand for perhaps seasonal flights to resorts in Turkey?
What about the demand to other Russian cities (bar MOW and LED)?
What about the demand, be it seasonal or year-round, from VIE to other Egyptian airports, like LXR (currently served 2/week), S. el-Shaek, Hurguada, etc.?
Cheers!

some have a big O & D demand ( IST, MOW, ESB, CAI, TLV.. ) others don´t ( EVN, VNO.. )
Quoting Pe@rson (Thread starter): What about the demand for perhaps seasonal flights to resorts in Turkey?
huge, see OS summer chartertimetable and charters from various Turkish airlines ( OHY, FHY, XQ.. ) to IST, AYT, DLM....

not that big O & D demand, mainly transfer PAX

Pearson,
BEY is served by OS daily on A321-200s in the summer time.
Hopefully they will become year-round one day.

Pe@rson, OS also serve ALY during the summer with 4x weekly A319 flights (started summer 05).
It seems logical that summer 2006 will see an increase in services on the CAI-VIE route. The current 12x weekly flights have remained unchanged for a year despite an increase of 14% (source WTTC) on the route. In addition last summer, OS frequently used the B763 to CAI and MS regularly used their AB6, A332 and B777.

Only CAI, ALY and LXR have scheduled services to VIE, the rest are all charter flights. BTW, OS and MS codeshare on all their scheduled flights between their respective nations.
p.s. Pe@rson oyour spelling is atrocious...it's Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada
Quoting BA (Reply 2): BEY is served by OS daily on A321-200s in the summer time.

well it was planned already for this winter season to operate 3 weekly Flights between VIE and BEY. However, it not happened. But it looks good for winter season 06/07.
What I´ve red today in an Austrian newspaper is OS would like to start Services to Iraq, but no Destination was mentioned. Last month OS got the Traffic Rights to operate Flights between Austria and Iraq, but wants to wait until Safety level improves.
Sources mentioned Arbil as the Destination to be served first.

It's too early to determine exact schedules for summer 2006. Last summer, the flight was upgraded to daily A321-200. Maybe the same will happen in summer 2006, maybe it won't. Maybe it will be downgraded to 5x weekly, who knows. Anything is possible.
It also depends on aircraft availibility.

Probably because of the unstability in the country following Rafic Hariri's assassination last February.

That's good...
