Yesterday OS 826 ESB-VIE was more than 9 hours delayed, due to a technical problem. The plane, a Fokker 100, was standing in ESB and the passengers had to wait. OS sent another plane with engineers to ESB. This plane, which was (my mother told me that, she was booked on OS826) "bigger than the F100", picked up Business-passengers and flew back to VIE (airport officials called the business-pax to a meeting point, later they were not onboard!). My question is: Why would OS do that? Why don't they pick up ALL passengers and fly them back to VIE, why did they let them wait until the F100 was repaired, when another plane (according to my mother's description, it was an A319/A320/A321), which could easily load the passengers and their luggage, was in ESB and flew back to VIE?
