Well, I believe the article is a little far fetched....but I thought it was kind of funny what it says about us here at CO.......

"and Continental Airlines is considering launching routes from Ireland to eight US destinations."

ROTFL. Even if true, I'd bet you even money, CLE wouldn't be among those 8, unless a 5-stop RJ was used.  Big grin

The big question: will JetBlue follow?  Silly

Quoting CALMSP (Reply 2):

BOS is the only one that, plane-wise, along with CLE, that would make any sense for CO. I can't imagine even what the other ones would be, unless a 762 to IAH is involved. Other than that, nothing even makes sense. Goes to show ya that the media doesn't have a friggin' clue.  Silly

Perhaps CO plans to finally link their two strongholds, namely Mexico and Europe with each other  Silly . I can already see the once-weekly 762 routes like DUB-CZM or SNN-CUU Big grin .

Maybe a Miami service? I agree that the only one i see being viable would be Boston

What is the possiblity that they ment that the CO's 8 destinations include hubs for codeshares like NW or DL (ie: ATL, MSP, DTW etc)

Yeah, but where are the 8 NW/DL would fly to?

The article is a cluster, methinks.  Smile

If they did this route I think that they should use the 757 on it
