I heard that there was a deadline to have the airport fixed by tonight midnight. fingers crossed.
i believe BA flights are diverted via Accra

You are correct. The Nigerian head of state gave the aviation minister until 0000 Zulu time tonight to reopn Runway 18L in Lagos. You are also correct in predicting this will not happen, as the new runway markings have not been painted yet due to logistical problems at the port. The saga will continue for at least another 10 days. In the meantime, both local/international operators will suffer. It is really not fair for Airport Authority to nag about indebted operators in the local press when it is not even providing the basic amenities of any airport !

Thats almost in all 3rd world countries. i cant remember if it was freetown or Monrovia the airport shuts for the night due to lack of electicity

18L?? Closing the shorter runway is causing all these problems?
