Well, as far as I know the world images will be faded out, all new aircraft are being painted in the Union Flag C/S, and all aircraft in the old livery will be. I assume when the others need a re-spray they will be painted witht the Union Flag.

At this stage the plan is to retain the World Images on the aircraft that have already got them, and all newly delivered aircraft and newly repainted aircraft to wear the Chatham Docks Union Flag livery. But World Images is still being kept in all the Airlines communication and corporate identity. This includes ticket wallets, bag tags, lounges, website etc etc etc. So World Images is here to stay for the forseeable future anyway.

And I hope that is the way it will stay!! I think what should have happened in the first place is the World Images should have been painted on all the long-range aircraft (747 & 777) first rather than some of the smaller domestic aircraft because it would represent the type of people flying those planes better. I say this because although many travelers from foreign countries loved the designs, people in the UK hated it (Margaret Thatcher: "We should be flying the British flag Bla bla bla..." ). The shorter range and domestic planes would have been painted with mostly the Union Jack or another British scheme, along with maybe a few of the regional British world schemes. Franchise operators could decide for themselves because some of them are as far away as South Africa! A little hard to explain, but that is what I think should have happened.
