B6 Launches EWR-SJU & LGA-PBI Tomorrow

Tomorrow, JetBlue Airways begins EWR-SJU and LGA-PBI service. I love seeing JetBlue connect the dots!

Can't wait to see what other EWR [and maybe even LGA] expansion lies ahead.

Exciting yes but the EWR-SJU is very odd times but B6's red-eyes sell and this flight will go. Anyone have any insight on loads for tomorrow and from then on. I know LGA-PBI will be a great route for them because many people continue to ask for it so it should go well.

Funny how PBI went from just a good amount of flights to JFK to now having JFK LGA EWR and BOS (starting later on).

The route map now is a messed up where most of the lines that are blue are faded except for BOS-SEA (above route map is old) and under the NYC drop down choice it doesn't show EWR or LGA. I email them but they haven't fixed it yet.

A little unrelated to the topic, but does B6 have any Spanish-speaking F/A's? On CO's flights to Puerto Rico, there is usually one language-qualified F/A, barring any unforeseen circumstances. It can help a lot if communication barriers become an issue.

Of course. And with their two main crew bases based in Miami/Lauderdale and NYC, then having a decent number of Spanish speaking employees is a given regardless.

Yea but hopefully down the road when they get more slots they will most likely add more FLL flights if they feel they can support it (Or add more PBI). They could add MCO TPA and RSW though at of LGA which seems like a good idea. I know MCO will come and TPA later but RSW might be a while from LGA.

(EDIT FROM ABOVE:I forgot BOS-PBI already started so ignore the () after BOS)

While LGA-MCO/TPA/RSW would no doubt fill up, the reason they concentrate their limited LGA slots on South Florida is because of business traffic, which is huge in the market, and perfers LaGuardia. I wouldn't be surprised if FLL-LGA was their best performing Florida-New York route, yield wise.

Absolutely. Both EWR and LGA have higher yields than JFK, mostly because they don't have connecting traffic from other B6 flights. Also, at times LGA fares start at $10 higher than JFK and EWR fares.

Did anyone see the Boyd E190 predicted route map? That suprised me, normally Boyd hasn't been LCC "raa-raa."

Did anyone see the Boyd E190 predicted route map? That surprised me, normally Boyd hasn't been LCC "raa-raa."

The E190 has had some minor set backs as all new planes do...but All these set backs are behind the scenes. SO far all 3 190's are in service with the 4th already getting updated with the live TV system. JFK - BOS was one of the best decision Jetblue has ever made as the flights are always 95% booked.
