I'd say the takeoff's the best part of a flight, followed by landing. Mid flight cruise sits at last, but it still can be interesting!

Take off has to be the most exilerating stage of an entire flight, especially in the DC-9's and the 727's. My most favorite point of the take off role is when the back wheels leave the ground and I know for that one split second that I have managed to slip the bonds of earth once again. It never ceases to amaze me.
Aviation is proof that, given the will, we have the capacity to achieve the impossible.

My favourite part is always landing. One time I was landing in Chicago on a 757, and the way we were positioned with the sun, I could see the shadow moving over buildings, streets, cars, people, etc. at 150kts, very cool. I also like landings, because you can see everyday surrounding from a different point of view, like being 3000 feet over your house!
