With all the great news that's been popping up for the past year and this week to boot, I got thinking about when we will get to see all these great things in person and found that 2009 seems to be the magic year for aviation. Here is a list of things we can hope to see at the Paris Airshow.

CIVIL
787-9 Demo Aircraft
777-200LRF Demo Aircraft
747-8 Flight Test Aircraft
747-SCF (If Boeing can spare one)
A350 Flight Test Aircraft
A380-800F Demo Aircraft
Bombardier CSeries C110 or C130 (Stop laughing, It could happen)

MILITARY
F/A-22 (Demo team should be running by 09)
F/A-18G
C-17A+ (If funding happens)
P-8 MMR (Funding/Aircraft Available?)
A400M (Prototype)
JSF-B (If the British fund it in time)

BUSINESS
Embraer Phenom 300 or 100 VLJ
Rumored Cessna "G5 Class" ULR Aircraft.

747-SCF

What's that, or did you mean the 747LCF?

I hope there's a chance that there will be also a Fokker/Rekkof 70NG on the list at that time (hence my username). I know most people think it's very unlikely, but let's wait and see...  Wink

I did give it a thought but figured that Augusta will have a demo of the 609 at Paris/Farnborough well before 2009 as it should enter service in 2007.

Well if the NG F70/100 program gets a greenlight 2009 would be about the right time.

Why 2009? Farnborough is in 2008, and the 787 (along with other aircraft you listed) will be flying by then.

I think he was pointing out that ALL of those aircraft would be present in 2009. In '08 it will just be the 787 and maybe a 747-8 prototype.
