I have flown a CO 777 from IAH to LGW, but not back . It was very nice, I had a bulkhead seat, so I had quite a bit of leg room, for coach. The food was pretty good, and the entertainment on the PTVs was excellent. All these things made a long flight much more enjoyable.
Civil engineering isn't about making things perfect...just better.

I flew one of Continental's 777's last Friday from London Gatwick to Newark, the flight was incredible.
The 777 is amazing inflight, the entire trip was smooth and comfortable, one of the best flying experiences I have ever had.
Continental's service on the flight was also excellent. The flight attendents were some of the most pleasant and helpful I have ever met.
The food service was very good. We received two meal, and two snack services throughout the flight. We received a hot meal of chicken or beef with two sides dishes, with a salad, crackers, and pineapple upside-down cake. It was excellent. We also received a cold turkey and letuce sandwich on a roll with a blueberry biscuit with jam and clotted cream. It was some of the best "airline food" I had ever had.
The cabin was also very comfortable. I really enjoyed the 3x3x3 seating. The seats were equiped with adjustable headrests, and had an ample amount of legroom.
An added plus was the PTV's at every seat. The selection of movies, audio, and games made the flight go by extremely quickly.
All in all, I can't think of how the flight could have been improved any more. I would give the flight a 10 out of 10.

I flew on CDG-EWR on a 777 CO (N78004). I assume the aircraft was freshly delivered, but i was very impressed! It was very clean (both outside and inside), just like the Asian carriers' aircraft.
The flight was very enjoyable, the PTVs were great and the food was ok.
Just one boring thingh, not only at CO, but also on all the other airlines I have flown: there are many movies at the beginning of the flight, and at the end your only option is to follow the evolution of the flight!

I flew EWR-FRA-EWR on CO's 777 and found the service to be fair. The 777 shook a lot to the point where I could see the ceiling panels visibly separating from each other and several overhead bins flew open on both takeoffs, however the landings were smooth. Service was adequate and courteous on the flight to EWR-FRA, however on the return I encountered the rudest flight attendant that I have ever had. She actually cussed at another flight attendant and then argued with him over the loudspeakers because she felt that his announcement was overly verbose, then went up and down the asiles forcefully knocking passengers, then commented to me, "Where are your parents? You don't look old enough to fly alone." (I am 20!) The flight to FRA left 1:30 late, but arrived on time thanks to the speed of the 777 (and the fixed scheduele), however the return flight was about two hours late. Overall an ok flight, however I have had much better experiences with KL, LH, and AF and would choose one of them instead.
