thanks to prolonged delay, it seems we all have forgotten that 9W was supposed to fly to EWR. Anybody having some news, insider info or even rumour.

I too wonder if the allegations of underworld connections have any merit, and why would it take so long to investigate it. Meanwhile, couldn't they start the second BOM-LHR, and perhaps add thrice weekly MAA/BLR-LHR connection timed to connect to UA's flights to USA. Where are these aircrafts currently utilized?

They should try YYZ instead. Jet is screwed up big time for the US flights, it doesn't seem that it can ever fly to US. It's time they forget the US and look elsewhere. Just my feelings, I wonder if anyone on Anet would have any solid news on it.

Why do you say that.Is it because of the USGovt or because 9W is guilty.

They will be getting the third A343 back soon and that is expected to start a DEL-ATQ-BHX service. So even if 9W wanted to the earliest they can start a US service is mid-2006 when the first A333 comes in and they can swap that onto another route - or maybe they'll wait until late 2006 when the first 777's start coming in.

The first A333 comes in the middle of 2006 with further deliveries starting late in 2006 at the rate of one a month till late 2007. These planes will be used on SE Asia routes and thin routes to Europe. The first 777's start coming in the first quarter of 2007, I don't know the exact delivery schedule but I believe it stretches till 2009.

Not because its guilty or anything, I just want to see it in YYZ. The whole issue is just a waste of time, I don't think Jet will be a threat to any country.
