I have to fly from Pittsburgh to London in November, I like Delta and United more than US Airways personally. What airline do you think I should take? I would love to fly on United and be on a 777. Thanx.

Delta 777,

Fly a Delta 777 to LGW via ATL.

Two departures in November, one at 1740 and one at 1945.

You can connect via the the 1245 or 1625 from PIT to ATL.

DAL doesn't fly the 777 to LGW from CVG or JFK unfortunately, so you have to fly a bit out of the way, but the DL 777 is a great ride.

My vote goes to US Airways. By November it will more than likly served with a brand new A330 on this route. Who knows how long this will be available if United buys them out. Your ticket stub could be worth a few cents in 50 years.

If you fly U.S. Airways out of PHL then it will more than likely be a A330-300. I would suggest going Delta though, better service and the aircraft you want in a brand spanking new 777-200

To fly UA from PIT to LHR on a 777, you're best connection is via IAD

PIT - IAD flight 7388 (United Express Jetstream 31)
Departs PIT at 5:20pm, arrives IAD at 6:25pm

IAD - LHR flight 920 (777-200)
Departs IAD at 7:25pm, arrives LHR at 7:30am

total trip time 9:10

Great choice although if i had to choose i would choose TWA and fly to STL just to get more flying time.

I would take USAirways out of PIT, because no effects from the merger will take place until early 2001 at the earliest. Also USAirways offers the best fares out of PIT and by November should be flying the A330 in that route. Good luck and I hope yoiu choose USAirways!

Very good choice, the atl-lgw is one of deltas premier routes. Ptvs are cool, and the plane is so great, big and powerful. Good thing you didnt choose TWA, so so service, and a crappy plane on such a great route...(dont get me wrong, i like the 762 alot..

Holy cow! You're flying from PIT to ATL before going to LHR? That's going backwards! Just to avoid US Airways? Can I ask why? Seems unreasonable to me.

Take American... By November, you will be able to connect through JFK to take a 777 to London, and you'll end up at Heathrow rather than Gatwick.

Delta 777, you said you wanna try out UA and its 777 to LHR. It's obvious & more logical to just connect thru IAD. It's much more direct than backtracking all the way down to ATL!
