Hey CX747,
just two days ago I wrote a message about that current problem.
Everybody seems to know so much about any new B747s or A3XXs that I'm wondering if those people work for our two ittle nice (and so different) companies.
What we know is what B&A are giving out to the public, and nothing more. On their websites they write many things, but to find out if all that is true we have to wait. I guess the truth can be found somewhere between.
Both companies are developping an XX-plane, the market is there, as even some early A3XX-opponents (I won't name them now) now believe.
Who will finally be in first position is also a question of time. But what I know exactly is that a monopoly of one company in that market would be the worst case. We need competition, only that way we can be sure that the new plane is equipped with the latest technologies.
And a choice between two models helps the airlines to save money...
