one of the reasons for the later departure was to gather more connecting pax...........but from a performance perspective, during the summer it sucks!!

Will they really get more conncting pax with the current departure time? At the end of the day, anybody flying this flight is going to have to write off the whole day anyway, whereas if they got in earlier (noon will mean a 4-5pm arrival, right?) will get them more pax who will then connect onto something else, no?

Quoting MarshalN (Reply 2): I'll be flying this route again in 3 weeks, ugh.
I take it from your 'ugh' that you are flying in Y. I am a very small, patient man, but I have to say when the prospect of a milage run on this route came up, I passed. I'd do it in a heartbeat if I had a reason to be in HKG, but the idea of doing it just for a couple of days and some miles was too much.
