I know most of you see me as an Airbus hater and a Boeing lover from the Boeing and Airbus wars, but I really like Airbus. I was looking at the Airbus website, I think the A3XX-50R looks cool, it's not as long as a 747, but it's neat looking, don't you think? Anyway, I hope you share my excitment on the A3XX! I also look forward to any new Boeing aircraft that Boeing may be working on.

Please define 'the rest of the airbus products' which are underpowered. I'm really sick of all this 'Airbusses are underpowered' crap! If they really were so underpowered as some claim, NO ONE WOULD BUY THEM AND KEEP BUYING THEM!
Anyway, I don't want to start another A vs B war, I wish both manufacturers the best of luck, they have both built some great planes.
As for the A3XX: really looking forward to seeing it fly!!

Whats better, a plane that is economical and underpowered and a plane that it over powered and not economical......id go for the more economical one.
airbus speciallises on extremely economical planes.
In a recent boeina advert it said "Range and speed" are what people want.
on the airbus advert at the same time said "saftey and comfort" are our top priorities....
i think the airbus advert seemed more sensible.....saftey..

If you want to have an idea of how big the A350 will look, think about the Antonov 124. I know both planes have different positioning of the wings, but the volume of both planes is about the same. Anyway, I can't find any other plane that looks more like the future A350.
I find that the Ant 124 doesn't look that big at all, unless you see it parked next to a B747 or a DC-10.
(I think that's because there is nothing slim at it.)
I think we might have the same effect with the A350.

If someone complains about the A3XXs looks he or she has obviously not seen a lot about this new Superbus. Yesterday the news were full of it, here in Germany it was the no.1 theme on every channel.
With animated modelflights and so on.
I think the A350 will look very elegant, with a better proportioned tail as the B777 for example.
But I don´t think it can touch the unique silhouette of the B747-400. I only hope they don´t bring the cockpit down more on the A3XX. That would spoil it.
As a designer I must says the A3XX is absolutely not out of proportion, its very well balanced for such a huge transport. If there is an aircraft that is out of proportion then its the B777-300.
