Hi, does anybody out their know if EZY will expand their hub @ LGW. Maybe the following destinations would suit their LGW hub: GLA, NCL, LPL, ABZ, VIE, SZG, INN, LIS, JER, MST, CPH, ARN, OSL, HEL, CDG, OPO, FNC, IST, LCA, MLA, and Germany. I look forward to your discussons/replys. From Timetable.

I can't see them doing LPL; there is too much competition from BA and Jet2 to MAN for them to support another LGW-north West flight; that and VLM also operate to LPL

I will get myself over there and see how many pensioners are at Murcias estate agents. My goodness, they must be building tower blocks not villas, how else would there be a 500% increase in flights to Murcia in 3 years?

Well isn't it the closest airport to La Manga. The big popularity of that resort, not just to old folks (see all the football clubs who take their players on breaks there) would explain how somewhere that had close to zero flights are getting a lot more now.

I wonder if EZY will move in on the "lucrative" Scandinavian market. We Nordic dudes and dudettes travel like crazy on LCCs these days - outsiders must think we have never seen a plane before, haha...

Gate space at Gatwick is a problem. Especially at the moment where they are replacing the ground on two or three gates which is also blocking off two gates on the domestic pier because the aircraft need to taxi in over them.
On my Ryanair flight on saturday, our aircraft was parked on stand 11, but we had to go to gate 10 and get a bus across the apron. But even when that is done, i think easyJet base 14 or 15 aircraft at Gatwick currently, all of which overnight and go off at roughly the same time in the morning. Gate space isn't too bad in the winter, but in the summer where there are a lot more charters going off in the morning, it can get a little crowded.
Wouldn't mind a couple of new routes from there though, perhaps Jerez or Bilbao?

Basle could need an early morning flight to Gatwick (or another London airport). The first easyJet flight to London leaves BSL after 10 o'clock. And since easyJet announced that they want improve their services for business customers ex BSL (and since the current London routes work well) I think it could be possible.
